Remington 700 with adjustable trigger , chambered in a 243 I had the stock camo dipped in Mossy Oak Brush , had the reciever, barrel and bolt Duracoated in matte black , I installed a detachable magazine kit with a 10 round mag I also had camo dipped , I took the bolt apart and ran some valve lapping compound on the threads to smoothen the action , went with a Leupold one piece scope mount with windage adjustment with Leupold medium height scope rings topped off with a Nikon Monarch 3 , 4-16x50

I like that setup. When you get it sighted in, I want to see some groups.
What did it start out as? SPS,ADL,BDL?

I sighted it in dead on at 250 , it shoots bullet hole for bullet hole at 100 ......I loaded 58 grain V-Max with 44 grains of Varget seems to be the ticket with a 250 yard zero i got a little over 7" bullet drop at 400 .......I'm impressed

NO BALLISTIC TIPS FOR COYOTES!!!!!!! That's what Mr Bruce always said anyway. Im starting to think he is right half the time Haha driving down the road and Brian tells me what mark is loading for that new piece and I said "I don't like fast ballistic tips under 90 grain". He gets out to pump gas and I see this discussion on here! LOL! It will smoke the vast majority no doubt. May never be a problem. I just had issues on marginal angles, runners and so forth splashing on coyotes that were already adrenalined up. Let us know how it does Mark, I hope it smokes a pile for our team!

Truthfully I've personally haven't had a problem with any of my Hornady and Nosler ballistic tips , I'm not even sure at this point that I will have to up my grains from 58 grains till I put this round through the actual test , one down fall is I cant find any 70 grain Nosler ballistic tips anywhere or even on line available , so I may try 70 grain Sierra MatchKing hollow points .

Hey Mark, Todd asked you a question. I think you should answer it. Make some money off him while you're at it.

FWIW - the Hornady 58 V-max in a .243 running at 3700-3800 fps has not failed to perform for me on about 30 coyotes. 95% plus had no exit wound and 99% were Bang Flop DRT. That said I did not have many marginal shot placements.
I know that sounds kind of arrogant but the bullet always went where I pointed it.

Since I started using this 243 in a auto loader I keep thinking about a bolt gun. Seeing your build ani't helping me. I don't need anymore guns!
