I went in there to look around right after he opened up this past summer. He had a brick of cheap 22 LR ammo in there and wanted $70 for it. I think it had about 500 or maybe 525 rounds in it. I needed some 22LR ammo and could not find it any where else so I spent some money. At the time I had not bought any 22LR ammo in years. And the last time I bought 22LR ammo is was just one or two boxes of 50 rounds. So I really didn't know what the price for 525 rounds should be. Well after I made the purchase I figured out that I paid more than twice the normal price and was really disgusted. I never went back to the shop even though I go to the subway there from time to time. The last time I was at Subway I noticed that the gun shop had closed. I wonder why? I wonder if he was charging too much and didn't establish a good following or if other circumstances were involved. Anyway it's still hard to find good 22 LR here in Evansville, IN.

If you can, go to the local wally world at 6am. They restock through the nights. If it's already gone, talk to the dept. manager. He should be able to tell you what time to show up before the horders do. Normally you only can buy three boxes at a time. Good luck.

I paid like $80 for 120 rounds of 5.56 62 gr FMJ Federal American Eagle ammo yesterday at Gander Mountain in Evansville, IN. They were selling some ammo for almost $200 for like 300 rounds. I think that the tax ate me up and increased the price because I could have swore that the list price was something like 60 dollars for the 120 round that I bought but I ended up paying $80 for the box.
