I use full-height sticks since most of my shooting is done standing up.
Unfortunately, I haven't found a reasonably priced set of sticks that will hold up. The last four pairs I've been through were $90-$110 each and I'm getting a season out of them before they get sloppy or malfunction somehow. The $30-40 jobs haven't lasted me a month in the past.

All my full length stix are noisy as hell. Kinda like dragging around the old aluminum lawn chairs!
Are you sitting and shooting?

I've had a pair of Gander Mountain sticks for a few years, but I don't abuse my sticks like Jason does... LOL
The red pair that Gander has looks a bit sturdier though, I might have to try them soon.

If most of your shots are sitting, maybe look for a set of the Browning lightning sticks. I put them on the raffle gun that I won from here a couple years back...and they are pretty bad ass.

I am using the Primo Shooting Trigger Stick (long one). I use it mostly for my pellet gun and shooting squirrels in my back yard right now. But I bought it for hunting coyotes. It might be too long to use when sitting on my butt unless I'm sitting on a camo bucket for a chair. It works good when sitting in a chair and shooting up into to the near buy tress. I like the idea that I can slide the stick up and down with the trigger. My stick has two legs also. It's not the mono post type of trigger stick. I have a single pole stick and it's height is adjustable buy you have to lock the tabs in place like one does when using a tripod for a camera. Those are fine for photography but when hunting you have to some times adjust the gun's position quickly and it would not be quick to reset the locking rings on those sticks. Which is why I liked the idea of the trigger stick and bought me one. It adjusts fast. You have to play with it to get each leg to lock up at the same length on level ground. But on unleveled ground you can adjust each leg to a different length which I like. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm looking to getting some new shooting sticks and I'm wondering what everyone else is using I'm not a big fan of the primos trigger sticks and I'm looking for a set to use during day and night hunting
