I would like some help I am looking at adding an AR i am trying to find a cartridge like the 22-250 i have. i was looking at the 243wssm but was told it can be a difficult cartridge the gun smith i had talked to suggested the 6mm DTI he had built this cartridge to help with the problems with the 243 wssm . but i would like to know a little more before ordering one if anyone has any insight i would like to hear from you i would like to know what barrel you use and why bullets you use and why what kind of groups your getting if you know the velocity also would be helpful and bullet drop what i am hoping to find is a lite weight ar that will do up close but also out to 500 to 600 yards any help woud be great

Dtech don't make no junk.... Most of his uppers are sub MOA for sure. 243WSSM has been know to have some feeding issues. 6mmDTI is a 6.8SPC necked down to 6mm so getting brass and re-forming would be pretty simple.
I do not own one but if I did I would build it with a 10 twist to handle some heavier bullets too. You can set a 58 to 87 gr V-max type bullet to have a point blank zero out to 250-300 yards where you hold the middle of fur and shoot. Any farther than that you have time to think about it and make the windage and elevation changes to get on target. For consistent 500-600 yard performance you may need to crank the knobs or get a ballistic reticle.
There are a lot of other 6mm cartridges that shoot from an AR platform. 6WOA and 6Hagar are good performers on the target range. Check out 6mmar.com for other ideas.
