I'm interested in getting a better hunting vest for coyote hunting. I need something that big enough to fit over my winter Parka and wear in the cold. I want something with lots of pockets in it and that can carry my gear.
I bought an XL Turkey Hunting Vest at Walmart that I like very much. But I need it in XXL size to fit over my heavy Field and Stream Parka which has a zip in reversible liner. The Parka is pretty heavy and bulky even though it uses Thinsulate Insulation which is suppose to make these things lighter and less bulky.
The Wal-Mart Turkey Hunting Vest has a game bag in the back that you can put a turkey inside or squirrels and not get blood everywhere as it's line to be waterproof. I've got most of my gear inside the pockets. And I could pack my FX3 FoxPro in the bag in the back.
The back has a padded seat that you carry with you to the stand. When you get to the stand you unsnap the snaps and take the seat off and sit on it. It's also have some orange ribbons that can be exposed or folded up and hidden. I guess these are there to meet the Hunter Orange requirements in some State or locations.
I have been looking at the Wal-Mart stores to find one of these in XXL size but have had no luck.
Now when it's warmer outside and I can get buy with wearing just some long johns, shirt and a sweat shirt with hood the vest works fine.
